Thank you for the music

 

昨天晚上，老哥邀請我跟胖胖去他家看Mama Mia!電影DVD。

約莫兩三年前這音樂劇在灣區演出時，其實也有朋友推薦過，但是當時胖胖不是很感興趣，原因是走的比較是1980年代的流行風，這是她所不熟悉的。

 

去年年底，鄰居好友送我們聖誕禮物，其中一樣就是Mama Mia! The Movie Sound Track* 。在車上反覆聽了幾遍，發現當中都是我學生時代的流行曲－很多旋律熟悉但當年不明所以的音樂，現在才明白那些都是當年紅遍全球的瑞典ABBA合唱團的歌；而這音樂劇也是將這些紅極一時的歌串起來編成的，跟一般原創音樂劇有所不同。

這部電影是根據音樂劇改編的喜劇，音樂也好劇情也好都讓人十分愉悅。到家時雖已十一點，仍忍不住把CD從車上拿出來，對著歌詞解說再次品味。

聽CD時發現一件有趣的事情。在電影片尾打credit字幕時有一首歌，是由Amanda Seyfried所唱的，CD解說裡面並沒有附歌詞也沒有單獨的soundtrack，但卻偷偷地附在CD最後一首歌後面，且要等個十幾廿秒才會出現。也就是說，假如看電影時正片一播完就走人，聽CD時最後一曲播完就關機的話，就會錯失這首好歌。

這首歌就是” Thank you for the music ”。

其實這首歌本身跟這部電影劇情沒什麼直接關係，反倒像是去試音雀屏中選，進而因此劇一砲而紅的Amanda Seyfried的心情故事**。  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

雖然這也是ABBA的老歌，但卻像為這位年輕歌者量身訂做一般：

我也是愛歌之人，據媽媽說我小時候也喜歡唱唱跳跳。現已年屆不惑，我想大概沒機會像Amanda那樣成為耀眼的歌者影星了，但歌唱自娛仍將是帶給我無限樂趣。

“So I say thank you for the music, for giving it to me…”謝謝送我這張CD的朋友，也謝謝這麼多年來，與我共享音樂和歌唱之美的親朋伙伴。

*這也就是所謂電影版原聲CD。此劇的電影版刪去了些許音樂劇裡曾出現的曲子，主唱者也都是電影演員如Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan等等，各有各的風格，展現了他們演技外的歌唱才華。

 

 

**Amanda Seyfried雖是電視演員出身，但演技外型兼具，歌聲歌藝也都不輸專業音樂劇歌者，也因此片站穩大銀幕。
